Allows partial opening to verify visitors

Back doors are often targeted as they're less visible to neighbours

If you have patio/sliding doors, do they have anti-lift devices?
Sliding doors can often be lifted off their tracks

Is your letterbox protected against lock manipulation?
Thieves can use tools through letterboxes to reach locks or keys
